Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas season is in full swing. Are you excited? We set up our tree this weekend so it's "Beginning to look a lot like Christmas" around here. I'm still contemplating doing some sort of blog hop/blog fest for Christmas but not quite sure. I thought about doing linky parties for a week with a theme for each day but am not settled on that idea 100%. I don't know. I'm so indecisive. :( I'm also pregnant with a bad sinus infection so I'm sure those 2 things do not help!

Anyhow, enough of my rambling and boring woes, let's get to our linky party this week. For this week lets post CHRISTMAS RELATED PROJECTS ONLY. Show me what you've been working on!

Just Something I Whipped Up

Last week was such a long, busy week and I have had a cold for days now so this may be another quiet week around here so I apologize in advance. I do have some things that I'm working on for Christmas so hopefully I will be giving everyone that info once I figure out exactly what I'm doing.

And thank you to everyone who gave me tips and pointers on sewing stretch fabric. It was all so helpful and I knew you guys would have all the answers!! :) I still need to create a post about what I did to the little baby pants but unfortunately one little girl creative got marker on them so I have to wash them and pray it comes out!

I've been kind of thinking a lot about Christmas already. Somehow I get the feeling I'm not alone. :) I have some ideas brewing and I wanted to throw them out there.

First, I'm thinking of putting together a Christmas Gift Giving Directory. Basically, if you have a business and you are running holiday sales I want to add you to our Gift Giving Directory. Basically you would email me a link to your website/esty shop, info on the sale you are running or a discount code you are offering and I would create a directory. If this is somthing you would be interested in, leave a comment and let me know. If I don't get a good response, I will probably scrap the idea.

Second, last year I hosted our first Creating Christmas Blog Fest. It lasted for 5 days and each day we had a themed linky party from Creative Gift Wrapping Ideas, to Christmas Recipes to Family Traditions. I would like to do some form of this again, including getting other blogs involved so if THIS is something you think would be good, leave a comment and let me know.

New Friend Friday - November Edition

Hello Friends!! Boy have I missed you!!! I hope everyone is ready to link up and to make new bloggy friends. :)

Just Something I Whipped Up with Canvas People

Before we get started with our weekly Just Something I Whipped Up party I wanted to share with you some pictures of the FREE photo canvas I received from Canvas People. I was really really pleased with how it turned out especially since I've never had a photo canvas before. Before I uploaded to their site and placed the order, I converted my photo to black and white. My girls said, "Where did all the color go????". lol Anyhow, I love how it turned out. Take a peak!

Just Something I Whipped Up & A Bloggy Birthday

Well, a year ago today, I wrote my first post over at the main "The Girl Creative" blog. While I had a goal to reach 2000 followers by our first birthday, I'm not in the least bit put off that we didn't make it. I have to admit, in the beginning I had hoped that this blog would grow. And it did. And at first I was kind of smitten with the idea of oodles and oodles of followers. Then as time wore on I realized that it's really not the number of followers you have but more the quality of followers. I can have 3000 followers and only have half of them interested in what I actually blog about. Ummm, no thanks! I'll choose quality over quantity any day of the week!! So, thank you to everyone who comes by everyday and supports my crazy endeavors! It's been such a fun year!!!

Well Hello!! You found your way over to the new party blog! :) I decided to create a separate blog for my Just Something I Whipped Up and New Friend Friday link parties due to problems with my blog loading really r e a l l y s l o w from all of the thumbnail links. I know I could probably solve that problem with upgrading my router but for now, I'm saving money and this is going to have to do the trick . :)

Don't worry, I will continue to post these parties on my blog on Mondays and Fridays with links directing you here until you get used to coming here. One way to help would be to follow this new blog or to add us to your blog list.

New Party Blog

Welcome to The Girl Creative Party Blog!!! Each week Just Something I Whipped Up and New Friend Friday are going to be hosted over here! I found that my blog was loading really slow and I think it's partly because of all of the thumbnail linkies and partly because I probably could use an updated router. And being true to the New Yorker stereotype, I hate to wait and I'm always in a rush so waiting for my blog to load just won't do!

Until everyone gets used to coming here on Mondays and Fridays, I will be posting a link each Monday and Friday reminding my followers and readers to head on over here. Be sure to follow this blog too so that you don't miss out on any parties. :)
